4. Chris Jericho Vs Triple H, Wrestlemania 18
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uZ0ad0XXEM On paper, Chris Jericho vs Triple H should be a great match. In reality, it was an absolute stinker, one of the dullest Wrestlemania main events ever. The biggest reason for that in my opinion is the booking of it as a show closing main event when Hulk Hogan vs The Rock earlier in the night was clearly much, much bigger. The result was that the large Toronto crowd were exhausted from cheering the Hogan match, everything else seemed small fry after the epicness of the Icon vs Icon bout. Hunter and Jericho couldn't do anything the save the circumstances, and Hunter won the gold to a very tepid reception. The other problem with this was Jericho's failure as a main event heel. The blame was again down to WWE, who booked the star as Stephanie McMahon's lapdog. This achieved nothing other than demeaning Jericho's perception, meaning that no one really believed he would win at Mania X8. The event was more about Hunter vs Stephanie, and in a further distraction from the quality of the match, The Game even hit Stephanie with a pedigree at one point. How can you book a main event to be taken seriously when one of the key spots is a male on female attack?
