WWE: 12 Matches That Were Booked All Wrong

5. Daniel Bryan Vs Randy Orton - Battleground 2013 & Hell In A Cell 2013

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx0gVkT2sbU The entire booking of the Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton 2013 Autumn feud should really result in some job losses for the WWE creative team. It was that bad. After winning the title at Night Of Champions, Bryan was stripped of the belt the next night because of a fast count. That's pretty weak in itself, but it was nowhere near as bad as it was going to get. At Battleground, when the popular star would hopefully get his big moment, the match ended when Big Show came to the ring and knocked both Bryan and Orton out. That was it. No bell, no nothing. The show just ended. It was probably the worst WWE main event finish I have ever seen. The fact that fans ended up getting refunds tells you everything you need to know about how much of a rip off this finish felt. You would think WWE might have looked to placate the audience at Hell In A Cell, but instead they booked Bryan to lose yet again in another screwy finish. This time it was special referee Shawn Michaels knocking Bryan out with Sweet Chin Music. The whole story made very little sense, Bryan had been booked as the underdog taking on the authority. Surely the only resolution to that is the underdog overcoming the obstacle? By having Orton win the message ended up being that Bryan really wasn't good enough ... which was loudly rejected by the audience who love the character no matter what!
