WWE: 12 Most Memorable Animal Sidekicks

3. Frankie The Macaw

Koko B. Ware spent his time in the WWE known as the "Birdman," and while some might remember him for his flashy outfits, flapping arms, and big smile, most remember him for who was perched on his arm: Frankie the Macaw. In fact, unlike most of the animal sidekicks on this list, it's not a stretch to say that Frankie was the bigger star than his master. Ware never really made it past the midcard during his tenture in WWE and despite finding some success with Owen Hart as High Energy, the two were nothing more than flashy enhancement talent before the duo disbanded. Many casual and non-fans from the 1980s will often bring up Koko B. Ware in the same breath as Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Snuka. While at first it might seem an anomaly, it only shows that image is so important and the memory of a man flapping his arms with a bird on his shoulder leaves an indelible memory. In 2009, Koko B. Ware was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. It's a safe bet that Ware would never come close to that honor without his sidekick Frankie, landing him quite high on the most memorable animal list. The WWE might as well have given the bird a plaque.
