WWE: 12 Moments That Genuinely Almost Ended Undertaker's Streak

7. Punk And The Urn - WrestleMania 29

There were a lot of legitimate theories going into last year's WrestleMania that Punk was going to be the one to end the streak: 20-1 sounded like a proper number to end off on, and Punk was the first "young superstar" to challenge the streak in 5 years. Some whispers even rumbled that Taker was done wrestling after he went 20-0, so bringing him around one more time in order to solidify Punk even further didn't seem like too much of a stretch. The match, as it would prove, would not be as suspenseful as the previous 4 or 5 matches Undertaker took part in. There was one spot, however, where it looked like poetic justice was about to take the streak away. Punk had been messing with the urn in the wake of Paul Bearer's recent real life passing. He was juggling it, spilling its contents, doing everything he could to disrespect the legend of Paul Bearer. During the match, Paul Heyman clutched on to the urn tight. He would remain an active bystander for the most of the match until Punk was caught for a Last Ride attempt. In a desperate struggle, Punk called for Heyman and the urn. Once he grabbed it, he smacked Taker over the head and made Taker collapse. Punk would then emulate Taker's famous post-Tombstone pin only for another kick out to take place. Once Taker kicked out of that, it was pretty much over, but, this was a fantastic example of WWE making someone that appears unfit to break the streak almost get the job done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLIwLqHxGNw
