5. The Rock vs. Mankind
The great thing about some of these storylines is that some could even cross over into others. The Rock/Mankind portion of the game could feature a lot of cross over with the Austin vs. McMahon portion. I would start this storyline with the Deadly Games tournament at Survivor Series 1998, which ended with the Rock and Mankind in the main event, with a mock Montreal Screw Job ending. This was the Rock joining the Corporation, and would interestingly be able to incorporate the other members of the corporate team such as Ken Shamrock, Shane McMahon and Big Boss Man who are already confirmed for the game. Following real life storylines, the game would then follow the events of their feud, running from Survivor Series 1998 to their Last Man Standing Match in February 1999. In this period of a few months, there were numerous big matches on Raw featuring both Mankind and the Rock that could be included in the game, such as Mankind vs. Bossman, Mankind vs. Kane and the Rock vs. Triple H. Rock and Mankind also had huge matches against each other as the months ran on. Players would be able to play as Mankind as he won his first WWE title on the first Raw of 1999 and the huge Halftime Heat brawl between the two at halftime of the Superbowl. Following this, it would move onto Rock and Mankinds massive I Quit, title match at the Royal Rumble and onto their Last Man Standing Match at St Valentines Day Massacre in February and introduction of the Big Show. The storyline could end there, or alternatively jump a few months forward to the formation of the Rock and Sock Connection. Either way, there is enough material between the Rock and Mankind to create a hugely entertaining storyline within the game.
