WWE 13 - A-Z Of THQ's Return To The Attitude Era

P is for Punk not People Power

John Laurinaitis attempted to tease us, insinuating that he himself would be on the box, but it is in fact the self professed Best In The World CM Punk who will be gracing the cover of WWE 13. It should be noted that this wasn't a decision made by WWE, no it was THQ themselves who stated CM Punk was to be the main man upon the cover and what THQ requested WWE obediently honoured. And they were right to do so. The early word on pre-order sales is that they are way up from WWE 12 pre-orders, a huge bunch of buys coming after Punk unveiled the real WWE 13 cover on RAW a little while back. Still, there are probably some fans hopes were inevitably dashed when it was revealed that Big Johnny would not be the man. Hey, maybe there'll be a special 'Power To The People' edition. You have to believe he will be in the game after being such a major part of WWE television for the past 12 months.

Q is for Questions

And lots of them... Will this person make the roster? Will that person make the roster? What are the limits of the in-ring gameplay? Will the amount of characters on-screen be limited or can we expect 30 wrestlers all in the ring at the same time for the Royal Rumble? Can you throw opponents through the cell? If I remove all the clothes from the wrestler I'm creating, will he be completely naked? Some crazy, some absurd, but most expected. With little information having been released so far, fans will be wanting to know more.

R is for Realism

The developers have made note of the fact that Rey Mysterio could not possibly powerslam a man the size of the Big Show and along with more fluid motions and transitions, WWE '13 is expected to be as close to real as you could possibly get. But then how far will it actually go? We all know a blow to the head with a sledgehammer will likely leave you incapacitated both in real life and in the world of Pro Wrestling, the same goes for falling off the top of the cell, will it translate into the game too? Other questions raised is to whether the likes of the super heavyweights of Show and Henry will be able to scale the cage, cell and ladders at the same pace of their lighter, more agile opponents.

S is for Sharing

Almost anything you do in WWE '13 can be passed around the world for the entertainment of fellow gamers and fans. Whether it be Superstars from your own creation or if you have an identical model of a un-featured wrestler, let it be known to the world and let them enjoy your creations. Share your outlandish storylines and comedic highlight reels, show your brethren what your mind can dream up. Delve into the depths of what other fans have to offer, with its almost unlimited potential you can be assured that if you have thought of it then someone, somewhere else has in all probability created it, which allows you to save on the work.
