WWE: 13 Hilariously Bad Gimmick Matches

13. The Kiss-My-Ass Match

Believe it or not, there was a period of time when WWE had a bit of "attitude" in their programming, and apparently that involved giving a whole lot of attention to backsides. Every week it seemed like someone was either talking about someone's backside, exposing or their or someone else's, or performing moves that involved that part of the body as an official means of attack. Because of all this posterior attention, it was clear that there simply had to be an entire match dedicated to the gluteus maximus. The stage was set at SummerSlam 1999 as "The People's Champion" where The Rock faced "Mr. Ass" himself, Billy Gunn. It was a match with the man who talked about inserting objects into backsides going against a man so obsessed with his own that entire promos were decided to how glorious it looked. The stipulation in this match was that the loser would have to suffer the embarrassment of kissing the winner's ass on the spot, and as if that wasn't enough, before the match started, Gunn changed the stipulation by making it so that the loser would kiss the ass of a large woman. In the end The Rock picked up the win, but not before literally shoving Billy's head into the woman's sizeable posterior. On this night, "Mr. Ass" became the butt of his own joke, and fortunately, this was the one and only time that the Kiss-My-Ass Match ever took place, though of course, there is a club.
