WWE: 13 Hilariously Bad Gimmick Matches

11. The Hog Pen Match

In the mid 90s, WWE was trying to throw every idea they could think of at the fans to see what stuck, and one of these ideas was Henry O. Godwinn, a pig farmer from Arkansas who threw a bucket of "slop" on his opponents. This was blue collar at its finest. In their attempt at getting Godwinn over with the fans, they had him feud with an aristocrat wrestler by the name of Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who at the time was as mid-card as as wrestler could get. Once the feud reached its boiling point, Godwinn and Helmsley faced off in the first every Hog Pen match, in which one wrestler would have to bring his opponent to the hog pen stationed outside of the ring and throw him into it. In this particular contest, Helmsley bested the pig farmer by back dropping him into the muddy pen, though Godwinn did seek revenge by grabbing his opponent and throwing him right into the the hog pen with him. One would think that the Hog Pen match would be a one time match, like the Kiss-My-Ass match, that would never happen again, but in a May 2009 edition of Monday Night Raw, the Hog Pen match made its return with Vickie Guerrero taking on Santina Marella. Thankfully, that would be the last time the Hog Pen match was utilised. Will we ever see this match again? Let's hope it's when pigs fly.
