WWE: 13 Most Horribly Offensive Gimmicks Wrestlers Ever Took On

8. Seven The Child Abductor

Dustin Rhodes' most famous gimmick will always be Goldust, but whenever he's been out of the WWE he's had a straight choice between being plain old Dustin again or creating another bizarre character covered in greasepaint. In TNA he ventured out to the ring with a caged rat, and was known as Black Reign. Dustin wasn't in his best in ring shape during that time but he did a decent job, as he always does, to make the character work. There was another strange character he was given that he didn't get the same chance with though. Dustin left the WWE at the height of its Attitude era after he broke up with his wife Marlena. She stayed in the WWE, and Dustin went back to WCW where he'd been before he first became Goldust. Instead of reintroducing him as Dustin, a new character was shown off in vignettes called Seven, and it was quickly deemed inappropriate. In the Vignette Dustin appears at the bedroom window of a small boy in his PJs and asks him to join him in complete bliss. The character only made one appearance in front of the live crowd, when he floated to the ring and was quickly given up on by Dustin. He made out as if he never intended to be the character and slammed creative for giving it to him. The character could have actually been quite good, but if WCW couldn't even do his first vignette without it screaming paedophile, its probably best they never got the chance to run with it.
