https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hyDIQKu3D0 If there was ever a truer example of history being made retroactively for a given Wrestlemania bout, this is it. At the time, a nothing match, a filler match, essentially a squash match to get Undertaker over, this 4-odd minute boring match lost in the swamp of Wrestlemania VII's under-card has become something NOBODY quite possible could've predicted: truly historic. It's the first match of Undertaker's Wrestlemania winning Streak. It's 1-0. Wrestlemania VII, for those of you whom read my other recent article, categorically ranking
EVERY SINGLE WRESTLEMANIA to date will know, I consider Wrestlemania VII a resounding success of an event that capitalised extremely well on a topical theme of the time- that being the Gulf War. An excellent crowd and one of WWE's all-time greatest matches between Savage and Warrior reasons in of themselves and if you're reading this and haven't seen it before, I encourage you to do so to see the history of the Streak being made and acknowledging the irony that it began in such irrelevant and humble beginnings.
