WWE: 15 Most Important Undercard Matches In WrestleMania History

2. Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels - Ladder Match (WrestleMania X)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASXM8TvYRew It wasn't the first Ladder Match ever. It wasn't even the first Ladder Match ever in WWE. However, for all intents and purposes, it may aswell have been. You look back at other matches on this list, such as the last one, the Triangle Ladder Match (and thus, TLC) and the moments, superstars and matches that have come along with them and not a one of them would've happened were it not for this match. Some to this date still consider this one to be the best Ladder Match WWE has ever produced, in all formats, which, when you consider the advancements that WWE has made as a company technically since then, is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. Perhaps it was due to Razor, whom is joining the WWE Hall of Fame this year and Shawn Michaels clicking (no pun intended!) in a way that has since become synonymous with HBK's Mr. Wrestlemania persona at the time, or maybe it's the sheer spectacle and history of this match that continues to make it stand out as the brightest gem amongst a whole other host of gems but this match is everything that Wrestlemania should be: iconic, historic, unique and a spectacle you could not afford to miss. Either way, it is not a stretch to say that this match is the father of modern day WWE. Before this match came along, you just didn't see that type of wrestling in pro-wrestling! That and the rise of ECW around the same time, changed the pro-wrestling industry forever.
