WWE: 15 Worst Pay-Per-Views Ever

15. This Tuesday In Texas

Thistuesdayintexas Logographic This Tuesday in Texas was an experimental pay-per-view taking place in 1991, which took place only a few days after the Survivor Series event. Vince McMahon wanted to find out if people would purchase an event on Tuesday nights and the audience responded with a resounding "no". This Tuesday in Texas drew a very disappointing 1.0 buyrate and the experiment was ended until years later when the equally terrible Taboo Tuesday debuted. The awkwardly titled This Tuesday in Texas featured a number of dark matches, the best of which was Roddy Piper vs. Ric Flair. Instead of putting that match on the pay-per-view, we got Bret Hart vs. Skinner for the Intercontinental title. For those of you who don't remember Skinner, he was Steve Keirn (longtime tag wrestler) pretending to be an alligator wrestler from the Everglades. He chewed tobacco constantly and used to spit the tobacco in his opponent's eyes. Yep, they gave that guy an Intercontinental title shot. While the event did feature an awesome angle between Randy Savage and Jake Roberts (because evil Jake was the man), the rest of the card was completely forgettable and pointless. Hulk Hogan had lost the WWF world title to the Undertaker at the Survivor Series event the week before. The rematch took place at This Tuesday in Texas and Hogan regained the title after Paul Bearer's interference backfired. This was all rendered completely useless when WWF President Jack Tunney declared the title vacant and stated the winner of the 1992 Royal Rumble would be world champion.
