11. Capitol Punishment 2011

Not so much terrible as it was soul-crushingly boring, Capitol Punishment actually featured R-Truth as a main event challenger for John Cena's world title. That's right, R-Truth, the same guy who was doing jobs in the opening matches for months was randomly pushed to the main event because why not? The event also featured Randy Orton taking on Christian in a match that no one remembers along with a decent CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio match up. Ezekiel Jackson clashed with Wade Barrett in a battle of former Corre stable mates that pretty much had everyone running to the bathroom and/or concession stand. The rest of the card was completely and totally forgettable, as the Big Show lost to Alberto Del Rio in a feud set up when Ricardo Rodriguez ran over the Big Show with a car. The Miz and Alex Riley also had a match to battle over who would appear more on WWE Main Event in the coming years (OK, I made that last part up) and failed to set the world on fire with anything resembling an exciting match. All in all, Capitol Punishment was completely forgettable and a pay-per-view that 170,000 people actually wasted money on to see. With absolutely no ramifications and no stipulations to make anyone care about the matches, Capitol Punishment was a one-off waste of time.
