WWE: 15 Worst Pay-Per-Views Ever

10. WWE Battleground 2013

Earning the honor of having the second-lowest buyrate in WWE history (right behind December to Dismember), WWE Battleground featured a terrible main event, an awful midcard, and a completely wasteful lower card. To make you understand how terrible this event was, Curtis Axel actually defended the Intercontinental title against R-Truth in a match that couldn't main event a house show. AJ Lee defeated Brie Bella in a match so hideous that it would need plastic surgery to even be considered ugly. CM Punk faced off against Ryback in yet another match that looked like it belonged on a house show and Punk actually got the win off of a low blow. Seriously, they thought that a great way for Punk to defeat a guy like Ryback was for Paul Heyman to accidentally distract the referee and then have Punk punch him in the nuts. It was an out-of-nowhere finish that made no sense and did nothing for either guy. In the main event, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton faced each other for the vacant WWE world title. Unfortunately, this was during the time when WWE was trying to transfer Daniel Bryan's heat onto the Big Show because we weren't supposed to be cheering for Daniel Bryan. The finish of the match saw Big Show attacking referees and causing the match to be ruled a no contest, so no one won the belt. Yep, on a show they actually charged people $60 to see, WWE didn't even deliver a title switch on a show where there was a vacant title. I would have asked for a refund too if I had even bothered to order it.
