The Good: Dude Love and Steve Austin had a great main event. As was the case with a lot of 1998's PPV output, the main events were carrying the shows while the undercard generally stunk the joint out. The Dude and Stone Cold would have a better match the next month at Over the Edge but this was a lot fun nonetheless. Other decent matches included Triple H versus Owen Hart for the European Title and, erm, nothing else, really. The Bad: There was a lot of Russo crap at Unforgiven 1998. One of the biggest offenders was the Inferno Match between Kane and The Undertaker. While a cool concept in theory, in reality the stipulation really hindered their performance. The terms 'slow' and 'methodical' come to mind. The New Age Outlaws and the Legion of Doom may be two of the most famous tag teams ever but their matches together routinely sucked, and this one was no different. Speaking of tag teams, the legendary Rock and Roll Express looked awful against The New Midnight Express. The whole NWA revival angle had no place in the WWF in 1998. The Rest: In April 1998 The Rock was getting over but he was still jerking the curtain. Sable paraded around in her underwear, as was customary. Also, a sign in the crowd during the Triple H/Owen match read 'PLAYBOY NEEDS CHYNA'. Be careful what you wish for, 1998 Chyna fan!
