16. Kwang
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oT7RWPT0oc It's always fun watching the debuts of these wrestlers because the announcers really tried hard to put the character over. Jim Ross was on commentary and told us that Kwang was a high degree martial arts expert. He was managed by Harvey Whippleman, who was not one of the best managers ever, but he did manage a bunch of midcarders in the mid 1990s. Kwang was supposed to be a ninja, who ended up wrestling in a singlet and a mask like most wrestlers. It's not like he looked like a ninja, but he did have good offense that allowed him to pull off the idea that he was a ninja. He even spewed some green mist at one point. If you're wondering, Kwang was portrayed by Savio Vega. Fans that were watching in the mid 1990s know that Vega had a successful midcard run mostly as a babyface wrestler. Kwang was actually in WWE for most of 1994 and eventually went away in early 1995. How did they come up with the name Kwang? No idea. It didn't sound that impressive and that's part of the reason why Kwang isn't remembered fondly.
