17. Max Moon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m9hpV3PNyU Any time you have a character that is billed from Outer Space you know it's going to make it on a list like this. That's why Max Moon has found a place here. The character was originally designed by Konnan, who you might know from WCW fame, and later taken over by Paul Diamond. In a WWE.com article, Konnan discussed how he came up with the character: "We were just shooting around ideas and I told him that when I was wrestling in Japan, I saw this Japanese anime cartoon robot on TV that shot confetti and fire. He asked if I knew anybody that could design it. By chance, I knew a guy in Los Angeles who was a designer. Vince is a merchandising genius and he loved it. I told him I wanted to fly into the ring." In theory, it might have sounded like a good idea and I don't think it's a stretch to call McMahon a merchandising genius either. It didn't really work in execution. The Max Moon character only lasted a few months in late 1992 and into early 1993 when he took part in the Royal Rumble (a very weak Rumble in terms of talent), but he was gone from the company soon after that. Where is he now? Probably in Outer Space having matches on an Asteroid.
