WWE: 20 Best Moments in WWE Raw History

7. Jericho & Benoit Beat Two Man Power Trip (21st May 2001)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh1zL6GrBFE Austin€™s heel turn in 2001 ended up with him being paired with Triple H in an angle where the €œTwo Man Power Trip,€ held all the main title belts in the company. After leaving a feud with Undertaker and Kane, they moved onto up and coming stars Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. In the buildup to King of the Ring that year, Jericho and Benoit got a chance at Austin and HHH tag team championships after winning a tag team turmoil at Judgment day. Remembered mostly for being the match that Triple H tore his quadriceps muscle, this was a classic main event and remains one of my favourite matches in the history of Raw, which will probably be shown again, based on the fact that it contains Chris Benoit. Before the match, Benoit and Jericho psyched each other up, remembering everything they€™d been through in their career. The fans were hugely behind the Canadian duo, and were growing more and more into the match. The Triple H injury occurred pretty innocuously when he went to save his partner from the Walls of Jericho. Even after the injury, HHH powered through, including even taking a Walls of Jericho himself on top of the announce table. Jericho saved Benoit from a Stunner, then HHH accidentally smashed Austin with a hammer, allowing the two Canadians to pick up a huge win over two of the biggest main eventers in WWF.
