WWE: 20 Best PPVs Of All Time

16. WrestleMania 20 (2004)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t17kDPmHdpA Highlights: Chris Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle, Rock/Foley vs. Evolution, Christian vs. Chris Jericho The positive thing about the 20th WrestleMania from New York City is that there were were some excellent matches all night long. Where the show had problems is the length of of it. The one before it was 3 hours. The one after it was 4 hours. This one was about 4.5 hours. Benoit over Triple H and Michaels in the main event is one of the best triple threat matches ever. I had my doubts about a triple threat match going into it, but they quickly erased those doubts with an incredible match that ended when Benoit made Triple H tap out. The crowd absolutely loved Benoit that night and when he won it was one of the loudest ovations ever. Guerrero beating Angle by outsmarting him when he untied his boot was a clever finish to a solid technical wrestling match. I always thought the match could have been better, but maybe that's because I put those two guys on a pedestal. The Evolution vs. Rock/Foley 3 on 2 tag match is one of those underrated matches that is really awesome. It's just that fans don't remember it that well. All of Rock's moments with Flair are memorable. It was well booked with a strong finish that saw Orton pin Foley. One other moment on this show that is unforgettable was when the lovely Trish Stratus turned heel and chose Christian over Chris Jericho. It happened after a really competitive back and forth match too. WrestleMania 20 was billed as the show where it all begins...again. Now it's remembered as the forgotten WrestleMania due to the man that won the main event.
