WWE: 20 Changes That MUST Happen On The Road From WrestleMania 30

18. Duplicate 'The Heyman Example'

Paul Heyman personifies everything that is right about the role of a 'manager.' Simply put a manager promotes the wrestler and the wrestler becomes 'over' with the fans by association with the said manager. Managers have consistently been used by the WWE as an effective means of the continued promotion and development of a superstar's career. After all it has been a formula that has helped define legends such as The Undertaker, Kane and Shawn Michaels (to name a few). Yet currently, Heyman aside, the WWE has very few successful managers who could work with and develop the superstars of the future. In years past 'the manager' role included the likes of Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, 'Sensational' Sherri Martel and 'The Mouth of the South' Jimmy Hart, who managed superstars such as Bret 'Hitman' Hart, Shawn Michaels and Andre 'The Giant' There is a clear correlation between partnering a fast rising superstar with a good manager equating to the creation of 'Main Event' talent. If the WWE could change the way it develops its mid card roster and follow the 'Heyman Example' by actively encouraging managers to develop future superstars, then perhaps the need to employ part timers to carry the WWE at important junctures, such as WrestleMania 30, will be a thing of the past!
