WWE: 20 Loudest Chants And Reactions Ever

9. Rob Van Dam Beats John Cena ECW One Night Stand 2006

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E5BGW-bPCg I think it's fair to say that ECW fans are as passionate as any group of fans in the history of wrestling. Even though they were in much smaller buildings than a WWE crowd, they could make more noise. They had so much passion for wrestling and when they loved somebody they let you know it. Just as well, they let you know when they didn't like somebody too. That brings us to the ECW One Night Stand 2006 show that took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. They hated Cena. When his music hit they booed. When he entered the ring they booed. When he threw them his shirt, they famously threw it back at him. Even before Rob and John locked up the tone was set. It seemed like Cena embraced the heel role for this match. He even clotheslined a referee during the match, which was not a typical Cena move. After Cena dumped RVD to the floor, somebody wearing a helmet gave him a Spear through a table. It was Edge. RVD capitalized with a Five Star Frog Splash. There was no ref around, so who counted the pinfall for RVD? ECW head honcho Paul Heyman. It was one of the biggest crowd reactions ever as Heyman's hand hit the mat three times as RVD became the WWE Champion. Euphoria. Joy. Love. Call it what you want, but it's one of those memorable moments you never forget. It was a win for the top ECW guy over the top WWE guy. Was it clean? No, but who cares. The feelings of that crowd were genuine and real. That's what matters.
