http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7DOcHRgQMo The date was August 15, 2005 and Shawn Michaels was building up to a huge match at SummerSlam against Hulk Hogan. This edition of Raw was in Montreal, which is the city where Michaels was the most hated because of the infamous screwjob at Survivor Series 1997. Since Michaels was in a heel role building up to the Hogan match, he decided to really rile up the fans. They were all over him as he taunted them. Michaels even brought up Bret Hart (who hadn't been on WWE TV in eight years at this point) and said that if Hart stepped in the ring again, he would screw him again. Then it happened. No, not Bret Hart. It was the theme song of Bret Hart that led to the arena in Montreal to become unglued. The crowd went wild for it. Then...nothing. Michaels fooled the fans, which made them hate him even more. Michaels went on to say that we will never see Bret Hart in a WWE ring while the fans chanted "a**hole" at him. He was wrong. We would see Bret five years later. A lot of the items on this list are loud, sustained pops. This one is here because that initial pop and tease was as loud as they come. Michaels is my favorite wrestler ever and I really feel bad about not including things like his SummerSlam 2002 return, the 2002 Survivor Series World Title win and his last match, but there were other things I wanted to include as well.
