WWE 2000 PPVs From Worst To Best

6. No Way Out

The Good: Like Armageddon, No Way Out was built around the demonic Hell in a Cell. Cactus Jack and Triple H had a phenomenal street fight at Royal Rumble the previous month and their Cell match was just as good. As per the stipulation, Foley had to retire... ...for a few weeks, until he was convinced to return for the main event of WrestleMania. A lot of people were p***ed off about that one. Foley himself has admitted since that in many ways he wishes he had have called it a a day at No Way out. It was the perfect way to go out. Also of note on the No Way Out card: Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle had a fine opening match. The company showed it had a lot of faith in Angle by putting the IC Title on him so early in his career. Edge and Christian versus The Hardys was good, as it invariably always was. The Radicalz versus Too Cool was a good PPV debut for the former WCW men. The Bad: The Rock versus The Big Show, a match set-up due to the controversial nature of the Rumble finish, was not very good. Viscera versus Mark Henry was garbage and had no place being on PPV. The Rest: The New Age Outlaws versus The Dudleys was short due to Billy Gunn's very real shoulder injury. It was clear at the time that The Outlaws and the APA were old news and that tag wrestling had a new face with the Dudleys/Hardys/Edge and Christian.
