WWE 2001 PPVs From Worst To Best

14. Survivor Series

The Good: The company finally put an end to the Invasion angle at Survivor Series, a pathetic six months after it began. Had the storyline been booked properly, it could have run until at least WrestleMania 18. At least it went out with a good match: the headline 'Winner Takes All' ten-man tag was very good. There wasn't much to shout about on the under card. The Hardys and The Dudleys had a decent cage match but by then seeing the two teams compete against each other was growing tiresome. The Bad: There was nothing actively bad on the show but it didn't feel like a big deal at all. There were a bunch of nothing matches in the midcard and not a lot else. Nothing worth going out of your way to see, anyway. The Rest: The PPV was preceded by a marvellous Paul Heyman 'shoot' interview that aired on the go-home Smackdown. In it, Heyman attacked Vince for destroying the territory system, stealing his ECW concepts and running the WWE into the ground. And you thought CM Punk dropped some pretty mean pipe bombs, huh?
