WWE 2002 PPVs From Worst To Best

4. Rebellion

The Good: Ah, the 'Smackdown Six' era. With Paul Heyman booking, and a roster full of hungry, motivated workers, Smackdown was the show to watch in the second half of 2002. Rebellion was another fine effort from the blue brand. Match of the night went to Los Guerreros versus Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. These four guys could have a great match in their sleep, but they seemed to be lifted by the hot UK crowd (who were really into Angle). Also worth watching are Edge versus Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman and Rey Mysterio versus Jamie Noble versus Tajiri. The Bad: There was, admittedly, a lot of filler on the show but thankfully that didn't take away from the great matches. Cena/Dawn Marie versus Kidman/Torrie Wilson, D-Von/Ron Simmons versus Venis/Chuck Palumbo, Crash Holly versus Funaki and A-Train versus Rikishi are not PPV quality matches, but they were mostly kept quick and fun. The Rest: The Undertaker was supposed to headline the show against Lesnar but pulled out. Smackdown GM announced to the crowd that 'Taker's wife Sara had gone into labour and that was why he had missed the show, however, that simply wasn't true (his child was born a few weeks later).
