WWE 2002 PPVs From Worst To Best

5. Vengeance

The Good: Finally, a main event that truly delivered! The Rock, Kurt Angle and The Undertaker put on one of the best triple threat matches you'll ever see in WWE. This was before the 'everyone trade finishers' format had become played-out. Rob Van Dam and Brock Lesnar had a good IC Title bout, one markedly better from their King of the Ring final match. Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit (back from a year on the bench) battled Bubba and Spike Dudley in an entertaining table match. Booker T looked good in his win over Big Show and Hulk Hogan and Edge's match against Christian and Lance Storm was decent. That was where Hogan needed to be, not in the main event picture. The Bad: When ordering a PPV, you want to see in-ring action, not long promos. That's what the TV shows are for, after all. Vengeance, however, 'treated' fans to a twenty minute promo between Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Stephanie McMahon and Eric Bischoff. The reason? Everyone was trying to convince Triple H to join their brand. Why? Because he's the best wrestler in the world ever, of course. William Regal versus Jeff Hardy and Billy Kidman versus Jamie Noble didn't add much to the show. The Rest: From main eventing WrestleMania to jobbing to bland Johnny 'boots and tights' Cena in the space of a few months. It sucked to be Jericho in 2002.
