WWE 2005 PPVs From Worst To Best

3. Vengeance

The Good: Batista had one of his best matches ever against Triple H inside Hell in a Cell. This was just all kinds of brutal and it was awesome to watch. The best part about it was that Triple H never looked overly dominant, with both men instead trading huge moves and heavy bombs, rather than The Animal taking an extended beating. Further down the card, Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle had a typically excellent wrestling match, one which came close to rivalling their WrestleMania classic in terms of quality. Michaels got his win back here but Angle did not look weak in defeat. John Cena defended his WWE Title in a triple threat match also involving Christian and Chris Jericho. This was, sadly, Christian's only real shot at the main event scene in 2005. He would be moved to Smackdown in the summer draft. He'd flounder there for a while. The Bad: Nothing outwardly awful, but Christy Hemme versus Victoria wasn't good. The women's scene really missed the injured Trish Stratus. The Rest: The show was brought down somewhat by a segment involving Lillian Garcia, Viscera and The Godfather. What was the point?
