WWE 2005 PPVs From Worst To Best

4. Judgement Day

The Good: Judgement Day was a very entertaining PPV featuring two stellar but very different matches. My personal favourite was Rey Mysterio versus Eddie Guerrero, which came about as a result of Eddie's stunning heel turn a few weeks prior. These guys had some amazing chemistry and fully embraced the opportunity to have a top-line feud. After their shoddy WM encounter, it's doubtful that many people would have had high expectations for JBL and John Cena's I Quit match. But they did have a phenomenal brawl. Cena excelled in gimmick matches like this one and JBL was game, too. MNM versus Holly/Haas, Chavo Guerrero versus Paul London and Booker T versus Kurt Angle were all fine, although the Angle/Booker feud with 'rapist Kurt Angle' made for seriously uncomfortable viewing. The Bad: Carlito versus Big Show and Orlando Jordan versus Heidenreich were pure filler. The Rest: Matt Morgan used an F5 on Big Show in the closing stages of Show's match with Carlito. Yes, that was a shot at Brock Lesnar (who was in the process of suing the company).
