The Good: There were PPVs in 2005 that boasted more great matches or significant angle developments, but One Night Stand was just a lot of nostalgia-fuelled fun. Hence why it ranks so high in this list. The event kicked off with a good back-and-forth match between Lance Storm and Chris Jericho, Storm's last in WWE. Super Crazy versus Tajiri versus Little Guido and Rey Mysterio versus Psicosis were both short and WWE-ish, but they were energetic and the crowd were into them, which was good. Things got more EXTREME with Sabu versus Rhino which, while also short, seemed to satisfy the fans' appetite for table destruction. People online ragged on Chris Benoit versus Eddie Guerrero at the time but technically it was fine and the two brought a certain level of intensity other matches lacked. Not lacking in anything was Masato Tanaka versus Mike Awesome, which was a breathtaking stunt show. Both men took an uncomfortable amount of abuse to their heads, mind. The Dudley Boys versus Sandman/Tommy Dreamer main event wasn't great as a match but all the run-ins and the flaming table made it a lot of fun to watch. The Bad: JBL and Blue Meanie. You know the story... The Rest: Conspicuous by his absence in the show-closing melee was Eddie Guerrero, who almost got into a fight with Chris Benoit after their match when the Rabid Wolverine accused him of phoning his performance in (Eddie was upset that he was being asked to do a clean job so quickly after his hot heel turn).
