WWE 2005 PPVs From Worst To Best

14. The Great American Bash

The Good: Not a lot to write home about with this one. The WWE version of the Bash had a reputation for sucking something fierce and this card was no exception. The one real bright spark was the Rey Mysterio versus Eddie Guerrero grudge match, which was the best bout on the show by a mile. Even then, it was probably the weakest match of their lengthy series. The Bad: Where to start? How about with the murder of Muhammad Hassan? Well, it was never explicitly stated that Undertaker killed him but he did give him a last ride through the stage after squashing him like a jobber with the camera showing a motionless Hassan lying on the concrete below. He was never seen in a WWE ring again. The tag title scene was set back several years when WWE decided to switch the belts from the new and hot team of MNM to the really weird 'New LOD' pairing of Animal and Heidenreich, for the sole purpose of promoting the forthcoming Road Warriors DVD. Shameless. JBL and Batista had a plodding, disjointed main event (which ended with a cheap finish to boot). The Rest: The show featured a bunch of standard midcard matches in the form of Booker T versus Christian (both of whom should have been main events by then) and Chris Benoit versus Orlando Jordan.
