WWE 2006 PPVs From Worst To Best

2. No Mercy

The Good: What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. Considering how thin the Smackdown roster was at the time, they managed to cobble together a really entertaining PPV, one for the real wrestling fan. In top matches, a returning Chris Benoit defeated William Regal in a hard hitting war. Real-life friends Gregory Helms and Matt Hardy had a spirited opener. Paul London and Brian Kendrick worked a miracle with the inexperienced and, frankly, colourless KC James and Idol Stevens (Damien Sandow). The Undertaker and Ken Kennedy had their usual solid match. Looking back, it's a damn shame that injuries (and his big mouth) kept Kennedy from becoming a true headliner. Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero continued the Eddiesploitation tour with a decent Falls Count Anywhere match. Finish was weak, mind. Finally, in the main event, King Booker thwarted Bobby Lashley, Batista and Finlay. Veteran Finlay carried the action. The Bad: A truly awful skit between Layla, The Miz and Big Dick Johnson was the only real blemish. I'll leave you to guess the punchline to that one... The Rest: William Regal's, erm, member was momentarily exposed during a backstage segment. Like, the whole thing. Unbelievable...
