WWE 2006 PPVs From Worst To Best

14. Cyber Sunday

The Good: Those interactive PPVs weren't very good, were they? By 2006, the concept had lost a lot of its lustre (thanks to overall poor events in 2004 and 05). 2006 wasn't much better, boasting only one really good match (Rated RKO vs. DX) and a lot of filler. Saying that, the triple threat main event pitting the three World Champion (ECW, World Heavyweight and WWE) against each other wasn't so bad, and was going along fine until the stupid Kevin Federline interference. Almost a decade later, is there anyone on the planet who cares about Kevin Federline (except Kevin Federline)? This whole angle was a washout. The Bad: The tone was set in the very first match, when fans voted in Kane to be Umaga's opponent, instead of Chris Benoit. Jeff Hardy and Carlito had a terribly disappointing Intercontinental Title match, considering the talent of both. And Lita and Mickie James had an incompetent, overly-long match. Despite what WWE may try to tell you, no, Lita was not very good in the ring. The Rest: Although derided at the time, Roddy Piper and Ric Flair's World Tag Team Title win is a sweet moment in retrospect. Shawn Michaels stole the show in the backstage segment where he walked down the corridor kicking random people in an attempt to prove that he was 'controversial'.
