WWE 2007 PPVs From Worst To Best

6. One Night Stand

The Good: Consistently good from top to bottom, One Night Stand was heavy on gimmicks, stipulations and, crucially, entertainmemt. The Stretcher Match opener between Randy Orton and Rob Van Dam was engrossing, with both men's gelling perfectly. RVD got the win, but suffered a vicious DDT on the floor and a running punt in the post-match, writing him off of WWE TV. This was RVD's last match in the company (barring a brief appearance on Raw later in the year as well as the 2009 Royal Rumble) before his return at Money in the Bank in 2013. The Hardys versus The World's Greatest Tag Team ladder match was a breathtaking stunt show, let down slightly by a few sloppy or botched spots. Still, you cannot fault the effort or sacrifices of the four men, and the match was undoubtedly entertaining. As was Edge and Batista's cage collision over the World Heavyweight Title. Finally, John Cena carried The Great Khali to an astonishingly watchable match, fought under Falls Count Anywhere rules. The Bad: The Mark Henry Vs. Kane lumberjack match was the pits. WWE gave these two slow-moving behemoths ten whole minutes while a host of super-talented workers were forced to watch it from ringside. Just wrong. And Vince McMahon and Bobby Lashley's ECW Title match didn't come close to reaching the heights expected of a Vince McMahon gimmick match on PPV. Shane was game, though. The Rest: Erm, there was also a pudding match between Candice Michelle and Melina. Yay?
