WWE 2K16: 10 Reasons General Manager Mode Should Return

2. Wrestlers Get Fatigued

In regards to the realism that General Manager Mode brings to the WWE video games, look no further than the fatigue meter for each of the wrestlers. If you have a Superstar work three matches in one night or compete in a gimmick match of any kind, their fatigue meter will increase considerably. Real wrestlers don't have "meters" per se, but they are more prone to injury the more they're in action, just like in GM Mode.

The same simply cannot be said for WWE Universe Mode, where stars can compete multiple times on the same show and it won't affect their chances of winning at all. The only time they'll be sidelined with an injury is when it's part of a storyline (i.e. a cut scene) which, as noted, the player has no control over whatsoever, nor can they determine when they return.

Wrestlers getting hurt may not seem like a positive to a game mode, but it is when you're trying to make it as lifelike as possible. Besides, if you want to avoid injuries, you can easily turn off the fatigue option in the settings, but only after successfully completing one year in GM Mode. You have to abide by the rules first.
