WWE 2K25: 12 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
2. Referees Will Count Slower If They're Attacked
You hit a finisher.
You get a two count.
You corner the referee.
You slap them.
They act as if nothing happened.
Eh? You've just been slapped, mate! At least sell it!
That is how attacking referees, purposefully or otherwise, has been codified in WWE video games. In reality, the striped officials will hit the mat like a tonne of bricks if as much as a sudden gust of wind comes their way, let alone a stray Claymore or Hidden Blade: the last thing on their minds is getting back in the action straight away.
In WWE 2K25, though, workplace assaults on the referee will now feature comeuppance, as, while they will still rise back to their feet after only a few seconds of inactivity, they will count slower, adding around three to four seconds of wait time between each slapping of their hand on the canvas.
In what is a major missed opportunity, they will not count quicker if you, the attacker, is being pinned, though such a feature can be obtained via the 'Bully' Payback, unlockable within The Island.
