WWE 2K25 Superstar Ratings: 10 Biggest Surprises & Snubs
2. Surprise - Rocky Maivia (73) & Hunter Hearst Helmsley (78)

We have a twofer here, as The Rock and Triple H's debut gimmicks make a surprise appearance in this year's release.
And make no mistake, Rocky and HHH allowing 2K to unearth these versions of themselves really is a surprise. Both wrestlers have made no secret of their disdain for the characters they initially played in the WWE, and with good reason. Rocky Maivia had no discernible personality beyond "has a nice smile", and the blue-blooded Hunter Hearst Helmsley existed primarily to scuffle with the hillbillies, garbage men and plumbers that populated WWE's mid-nineties roster (and now you know why the New Generation never drew money).
Given their real-life counterparts hatred for these gimmicks, it's a surprise that both of them have come back at a time when their The Rock and HHH have more power than ever in the WWE. Both men could have easily quashed the appearances of their most hated gimmicks, but it seems that they are now secure enough in their positions to allow us to reminisce about the time WWE would lumber its most talented wrestlers with useless gimmicks.
Good thing they never did that again!
