WWE 2K25 Superstar Ratings: 10 Biggest Surprises & Snubs

3. Snub - Eddie Guerrero '97 (76)

John Cena WWE 2K25 rating

An apology, before we begin - when compiling last year's list, this writer failed to notice that 2K Studios gave Eddie Guerrero '97 a measly 76 point rating. That's bad enough, but even worse is the developers compounding their error by lowballing the legendary superstar yet again in WWE 2K25.

Upon realizing what 2K Studios had done, this writer's brain made a noise similar to the old AOL start-up sound (ask your parents, young 'uns) and the red mist descended. What immediately followed was a nigh-illegible screed that contained six counts of libel, eight examples of slander and instructions for a voodoo ritual to be performed in the lobby of 2K Studios.

Now that the rage has subsided, let's examine the situation calmly. From his early days as one half of Los Gringos Locos to the final days of his WWE run, Eddie Guerrero was an unmissable highlight on any show he was on, and to give any version of him such an insultingly low rating is to disrespect one of the greatest wrestlers who ever lived.

And to give a 76 to the wrestler who revolutionized the business alongside Rey Mysterio at Halloween Havoc '97? That's just wiping your boots on one of the most iconic matches in wrestling history - a match that was actually used to open WWE 2K22's showcase mode.

Bloody hell 2K, what happened in the intervening years? Did your "Best of Eddie Guerrero" DVD catch fire and burn your house down?
