WWE: 3 Ways Of Structuring An Off-Season For Superstars

1. Bring Back The King Of The Ring

King of the Ring The King of the Ring was an ingenious PPV in the Attitude Era simply because it allowed the WWE universe a chance to see some of the midcard talent in bigger spots. While the last match on the card was often a championship match (though not always), the PPV was dominated with the semi finals and final of the King of the Ring tournament that had been building through the television shows beforehand. The King of the Ring also allowed some of the top card talent to have a bit of break and slow down in the middle of the year, as it became clear that it would be the midcard superstars that would be driving the shows up to the PPV. This would be a golden opportunity to rest a couple of top level talents before hand and during the PPV while midcard guys are able to pursue new angles with new opponents with little or no build up. If they are not great, it's ok, it was just a tournament match, not a three month scheduled feud. But if they do, then the creative team can find something organic and use it over the next year or so. A great time to schedule this would be probably just before or after Summerslam, in order to allow some of the top level talent the best chance to have a decent break in the middle of the year.

So, there's 3 ideas. Please feel free to comment below!
