WWE: 30 Superstars To Create Greatest Royal Rumble of All Time

7. The Rock

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7ERwF4kBlw Current WWE Champion The Rock (I can't believe I'm saying that) attained glory in 2000 in a fairly lacklustre match more famed for Taka Michinoku's head splat than anything else. Although runner-up Big Show managed to "prove" that The Rock's feet touched the floor using videotape, the outcome was not overturned and thus The Rock still remains a winner. Rock's second best showing came two years earlier, lasting 51 of the 55 minutes - and this was after already defending his Inter-Continental earlier in the night!

6. Hulk Hogan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4z0LM7Ld-0 As perhaps the biggest name in the history of the industry, Hulk Hogan doesn't need any introduction. The 6-time WWE Champion and 6-time WCW Champion won consecutive Royal Rumbles at the start of the 90s - the first man to win 2 Rumbles, and first man to re-enter the Rumble as a winner after neither Jim Duggan & John Studd were competitors in the year following their success. Hogan has a higher eliminations per Rumble average than anybody else, standing at 6.5 (overall it's 26 across 4 matches).

5. Alberto Del Rio

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqiQ8yQRHZk The winner of the largest Rumble in history, Mexican Del Rio achieved immortality despite only being on the roster for 6 months and with only his 4th PPV match. After dumping out Randy Orton, his early celebrations nearly caused the upset of the century when Santino Marella slid back in the ring after never being eliminated. In typical Marella fashion, however, his hope was short lived and Del Rio was once again crowned Rumble winner. Del Rio failed in his attempt to capture the World Heavyweight Championship at both WrestleMania and Extreme Rules, but after winning the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase (being the first man to win the Rumble and MITB in the same year) he cashed in on CM Punk to become WWE Champion.

4. Yokozuna

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAHW4hWvut8 Winning in an even shorter time than Del Rio, Yokozuna had been in the company for a mere 3 months before conquering all at the 1993 Rumble. As the heaviest man ever to complete in a Rumble (weighing allegedly 700lbs in 1996), Yokozuna won in bizarre and frankly embarrassing circumstances when he powered Randy Savage over the top after Macho Man had gone for a pin. As the first winner to get a title shot, Yokozuna's effort would be prosperous against Bret Hart. It would be short lived though as Hulk Hogan came and won the title from the American (though billed as Polynesian) immediately in one of the most frowned upon moments in WWE's history.

3. Batista

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cu6kdQfSRCw The 2005 Royal Rumble felt like the dawning of a new era, with none of the final four competitors having a world title to their name (they now have a combined 32 reigns!). The last two would become the two main stars of the company for the next 5 years and on this instance, Batista got the better of Cena but not before a copy of the Bret Hart/Lex Luger 1994 finish meant a re-start from a 'fuming' Vince McMahon. Batista would go on to turn on his Evolution mentor Triple H and wrestle the World Heavyweight Championship from his grasp, changing the course of the WWE for years to come.

2. Brock Lesnar

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfmtKNKzEDM The youngest ever winner at just 25, Brock Lesnar won in his only ever Royal Rumble having needed to qualify earlier on in the night against none other than the Big Show. The intimidating beast is one of the few men to win the King of the Ring and the Royal Rumble in the same 12 month period and Lesnar was the first to achieve both feats in his first year as a professional wrestler. Brock is now back to the WWE after 8 long years away in the NFL, Japan and UFC, but it seems unlikely we'll see him competing again in the Rumble.

1. The Undertaker

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5SOPDUhPis Drawing the final entry spot is thought to be lucky and a good omen, and the Undertaker has had the good fortunate of being last into the mix on three occasions, being the first man to win from the coveted spot in 2007 after a brilliant final two showdown with Shawn Michaels. Obviously more famed for his WrestleMania winning streak and general longevity, many couldn't believe the Deadman hadn't already won one and 2007 corrected this fault. Undertaker's last and presumably final Rumble showing was in 2009 - the 10th of his career. So what do you think would happen if you put all of these 30 superstars in the ring together?
