WWE's First 10 Intercontinental Champions: Where Are They Now?
6. Tito Santana
At 64 years of age, former fan favourite Tito Santana is still pulling on the trunks and wrestling on the independent circuit in 2017. Beating Don Muraco to begin the first of two Intercontinental Title reigns on 11 February 1984, Santana would trade the belt with Greg Valentine. Remarkably, the pair wrestled this year for the Superstars Of Wrestling Federation.
To date, Tito has worked four matches in 2017. He's not quite as nimble as he once was, but Santana can still bump around for opponents and doesn't look out of shape. The former IC Champ isn't an embarrassment when he does choose to step between the ropes, put it that way.
Santana has worked every single year since his last appearances as a WWE regular in 1993. He's still one of the most fondly remembered Intercontinental Champions ever, and for good reason. Right before winning the secondary gold, Tito was working matches against then-Heavyweight Champ The Iron Sheik, so fans already knew to take him seriously.
