A full 11,557 days after Tito Santana had beaten him in a Steel Cage match for the Intercontinental Title way back in 1985, Greg Valentine was squaring up to his old foe on an independent show in 2017. Valentine only held the belt once, although he did also capture the WWF Tag-Team Titles with Brutus Beefcake.

Now, Valentine can be found wrestling from time to time on the independent scene and as part of wrestling conventions across North America. A born-again Christian, he has also hosted religious talks with Ted DiBiase and was involved in (Christian wrestling organisation) World Impact Wrestling alongside the former 'Million Dollar Man'.

Valentine's last WWE showing came as part of the Ric Flair retirement tribute in March 2008, a full four years after he had been honoured as part of the 2004 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony himself. He's remembered as one of the hardest-working IC champions in history, and it's remarkable people can still see him wrestle today.
