A prominent valet throughout the Attitude Era, Terri Runnels' WWE career was winding down by 2002. She became one of many wrestlers to have a meaningless, seconds-long Hardcore Title reign that May, and had served as the host of Excess (a recap show) since late 2001, but this was scrapped two months prior to Ruthless Aggression's genesis.

Her TV appearances became increasingly scarce as time passed, and after eight years as a WWE employee, Terri was released by the company in March 2004. She decided to leave the wrestling business entirely, and spent some time travelling the world in the aftermath of her release, before eventually settling into a career as a full-time charity ambassador, working with organisations like the Make-a-Wish foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs Of America, and the Children's Miracle Network.

Terri started 'Make The World Write,' a contest encouraging participants to write about how they'd make the world a better place, in 2008. She still keeps herself occupied with philanthropic endeavours today, while also staying active on social media.

Unlike man of her peers, Runnels hasn't appeared for WWE since her release.
