WWE's Top 10 Biggest Signings Of 2017
2. Adam Cole
At first glance, Adam Cole undoubtedly looks like someone who belongs in WWE. Despite being offered a deal to jump over in 2013, he opted to stay in Ring of Honor for a few more years, where he became the only three-time ROH World champion in history, headlined countless pay-per-views and joined The Bullet Club.
It was also in ROH that he came into his own as an exceptional heel, so sticking around was the smartest decision he could have made. WWE finally came calling when Cole's contract expired this past May, but along with the rest of the former ROH wrestlers, his debut in WWE was delayed due to reports of WWE negotiating with the talent while they were still signed to deals.
Ultimately, the timing worked out perfectly as he arrived just in time for TakeOver: Brooklyn III to a massive reaction from the faithful fans in attendance, laying out newly crowned champ Drew McIntyre and establishing himself as a top dog from the get-go.
As previously noted, The Undisputed ERA is a fitting role for Cole right now given his history with Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish. Don't expect him to be in NXT for long as he has future world champion written all over him.
