2. Ryback Turned Heel
MY GOD, if there ever was a reason why chanting Goldberg is just retarded, this is it. Goldberg never went heel, and the one time they attempted to portray him as a bad guy lasted about a month, all because he was upset at how his merchandise sales dropped off. Now that is without a doubt the main reason why I couldn't stand the guy. I have to admit (or is it a confession), I was never really a fan of Stone Cold Steve Austin, but at least I have respect for his accomplishments and the fact that even though he was the definitive face of our generation and a merchandising juggernaut, did not prevent him from evolving into one of the greatest heels of all time at Wrestlemania 17. Merchandise sales be damned. And Ryback makes a great heel. His hatred for "bullies" and his reasoning to beat people up is just awesome and succeeds in making him come off as a complete douchebag. In fact in terms of heel ability he is one of the better ones out there at the moment. And now as he stands alongside Paul Heyman just adds more weight to his status as a bad guy. Whereas Goldberg in his entire career showed absolutely no skill at evolving his character. I think the concept of evolution (no pun intended) when it comes to pro wrestling truly helps define the talent of a performer. This is why I don't like John Cena, he does not "evolve." And Goldberg never "evolved" either. The Goldberg we got at Wrestlemania 20 was the exact same Goldberg we got upon his debut against Hugh Morris. Which is the true definiton of BOOOOOOORING, BOOOOOOOORING!
