1. WCW vs Logic & Finances
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uP4yY4ZlaY The battle between wrestling promotions, and finances and logic is an age old tale. It has ended the once bright future of countless wrestling promotions, and most likely will be the end of several more before the end of this world. However, there is perhaps none sadder than the one of WCW and its battle with logic and money. It took only 3 years for the company to destroy a legacy which stretched back for dozens of years, and included some of the best wrestling in the history of the sport. However, WCW became embroiled in a television ratings battle with WWF/E and unfortunately those in charge forgot that it is PPV revenues and buy rates, as well as merchandising, which pay the bills. WCW fell victim to their own delusions, and the lack of logic in their booking and their poor financial management put the final nails in the coffin of WCW. It doesn't take a mathematician to figure out that if you are bringing every single roster member to every show (yes, regardless of if they were going to be on tv), and if you are throwing massive amounts of money at untrained celebrities just to spike tv ratings, then you are destined to go out of business. Unfortunately, those of us that see those things very clearly in hindsight were not a part of the decision making process for WCW, and they are now no longer in business. It is a sad story in the history of pro wrestling, as the company was a wonderful place of wrestling for a number of years. The company which created one of the greatest feuds in the history of wrestling in the NWO, fell victim to the oldest and most common feud in the business: promotion vs poor management and booking logic. However, I don't want to leave you with a sour taste in your mouth, so I present to you five ridiculously awesome feuds.
