The gimmick started when Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre were all struggling as singles wrestlers. Slater was wrestling against Brodus Clay in September of 2012, using his 'One Man Band' monicker, when Mahal and McIntyre interfered on his behalf. The trio would then re-emerge in future WWE shows as 3MB - the Three Man Band. The really disappointing thing about this gimmick is that all three members are actually talented wrestlers - Slater in particular - so to cheapen them with such a ridiculous collective persona seems ridiculous and something of a shame. The most cringeworthy moment for the trio, for me, was when they claimed they should have been nominated for a Grammy award, having never recorded or performed any music whatsoever. The sooner the WWE bring this horrible gimmick to an end, the better.
