WWE: 5 Most Fitting Final Matches To Great Wrestling Careers

4. The Rock Losing To John Cena At WrestleMania 29 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW-n9-hVgBw Now this one should be flagged as "tentative", since Dwayne Johnson has mentioned retirement, but not declared it. The reason I'm including him in this list is that I believe his injury (an abdominal tear) from WrestleMania 29 was enough to give him second thoughts about ever returning to the ring, especially in light of his busy acting schedule. He made his big comeback, and did all he could possibly do (beating John Cena, beating Punk for the title, and then putting Cena over to close the loop and pass the proverbial torch). With these things in mind, I'm counting his match against Cena at WrestleMania 29 as his last. I'm also considering it a fitting final match. The Rock has already done it all; I can't think of another WWE goal for him in the near term (as it would have to be, unless he wrestles well past his prime €“ please don't, Rock). He wrestled against the face of the company in the main event two years in a row, in addition to ending the longest WWE Championship reign, held by CM Punk. He'd arguably pushed past his limits by doing this "Twice In A Lifetime" gig at WrestleMania 29, but it still generated enough excitement to consider it a win for all involved. Not only did The Rock get to wrestle in his hometown of Miami for the first part of his comeback, but he got to have this last match in New York, considered a special place in pro wrestling history. He was able to complete the match despite being injured, and bring his star power "home" to WWE. He beat CM Punk, and he gave closure to John Cena. What more could anyone ask for?
