WWE: 5 Most Successful Comebacks

3. Ric Flair

ric flair tna The dirtiest player in the game is arguably the best wrestler of all time, Triple H and Shawn Michaels certainly seem to think so anyway. By the time the Nature Boy came to WWE in 1991, he was already a star through his work in NWA, where he became their top man for many years. Flair was known for sixty minute iron match matches and was said to have the best conditioning in wrestling ever. Flair also was a part of the most successful faction at that time, The Four Horsemen. During his first stint Flair won the WWE Championship on two separate occasions as well as the Royal Rumble. Flair described his first stint with WWE as the happiest time he had in wrestling outside of his work with the Four Horsemen. Flair would go on to WCW, where he had many ups and downs, and became frustrated with the way Eric Bischoff ran the business. Flair was said to be happy when WCW went out of business. After eight years away from the WWE Flair came back as kayfabe co-owner of the WWE, he made an immediate impact and was a big part of my favorite ever episode of Raw, the first draft. Although as a character Ric Flair knew what he was doing, in the ring he had all the capabilities to put on a great match, this was shown at Wrestlemania X8 against the Undertaker, one of my favorite streak matches. Flair also showed his prowess as a manager, managing Triple H and eventually being part of the last great faction, Evolution. During his second stint Flair also won the Intercontinental Championship and the Tag Team Championship three times with Batista and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Ric Flair would retire from the ring at Wrestlemania XXIV against Shawn Michaels after another good performance. Wooooo! Since Flair left the WWE, he has made many haphazard appearances in the company. He has also signed for TNA where he has wrested and managed once again, never seeming to be able to retire. Although this past year his appearances have become and less and less and I think everyone is collectively relieved that we don't have to see Flair's boobs get saggier.
