WWE: 5 Most Underrated/Misused Current Superstars

2. Wade Barrett

wade barrett Oh Stu Alexander Bennett. You have so much potential and yet are so misused you're an afterthought in the WWE. The funny thing is that longtime serious wrestling fans generally love Wade. They appreciate his brawler style and personality. Yet he hasn't really clicked with the WWE universe. As a three time Intercontinental Champion, you'd hope that he'd garner more respect by now. But then again, the Intercontinental Championship has no glory or meaning anymore (but that's a rant for another time). As leader of the Nexus, Wade displayed his impressive mic and leadership skills. While going solo, he's put on a variety of memorable matches, and he seems to be a good worker. So why is he on this list? Wade is one of those wrestlers who should either be in the World Championship running, or have a compelling heel story line. You could see that WWE has tried to do things with him, which does give me hope. They changed his entrance music and his look a bit. Yet his matches are meaningless and lack direction as of late. Though maybe not the best choice, I could see Wade being a great Hardcore Champion. It would allow him to really establish his mean streak and take advantage of his brawler style. Whatever it is, WWE needs to do something to make Wade more appealing to the fans, otherwise his talent is going to go to waste like the last person in this countdown...
