WWE: 5 Reasons Cesaro's Alliance With Paul Heyman Will Fail

1. Unnecessary Alliance - Cesaro Was Getting Over On His Own

The image of Cesaro picking up The Big Show and slamming him over the top rope and onto the floor to win the Andre The Giant Battle Royal was the start of what looked like Cesaro's big break in the WWE. In a sign of respect, Big Show shook Cesaro's hand and congratulated him on his victory. The next night on RAW, Cesaro gets the ultimate rub from Hulk Hogan who awards him the trophy and gives him a pat on the back. Everything is setting up perfectly for a face turn, and a launch into a successful singles career. The next natural step would have been for Zeb to turn on Cesaro and have Swagger attack him from behind with the trophy. They have been teasing this feud for weeks, and they could have some sort of stipulation match at Extreme Rules, with Cesaro winning. The fans have been behind Cesaro, and he was ready to make the turn in his character. Inserting Paul Heyman into the storyline at this time was unnecessary. Cesaro was getting himself over on his own just on his matches alone. His style in the ring is unlike any other, from his physical European uppercuts to the classic Giant Swing, and his impressive Neutralizer finisher. After moving on from his feud with Jack Swagger, the potential for Cesaro is limitless. I would love to see him work a program with some of the top heels like Randy Orton, Batista, Alberto Del Rio and The Wyatt Family. It would really freshen up his opponents as he has been a heel his entire WWE career. After proving himself as a fighting singles star, the easiest way to launch him into the main event picture would be a Money In The Bank contract victory. Time will tell how Heyman will impact Cesaro's career, will he be the next Curtis Axel or Brock Lesnar? While I am a huge fan of both Paul Heyman and Cesaro, their alliance at this time will end up failing.
